Internships are work-based learning opportunities that are shorter than apprenticeships but longer than micro-internships. They typically last anywhere from a few months to a year, allowing you to explore an industry you may be interested in, gain meaningful work experience, and develop both employability and technical skills.

Work with your college’s Career Development Center to create your resume and cover letter.
Complete the application for the internship you are interested in and attach your final resume and cover letter.
Staff from the Workforce Solutions team or your college will respond to you when your application is received. You should hear from someone within five to seven business days.

All of the internship positions that are posted on this website are paid opportunities. Please note that opportunities you find on other websites, such as Career Network, may or may not be paid. Read the job description carefully to verify.
How long do internships last?
Your employer will set the timeline, but internships generally last three months to one year.
What is the time commitment of an internship?
Exact hours will depend on your employer. Most internships offered during the fall and spring semesters are typically part-time. Summer internships may have extended hours. Read the job description carefully, as details regarding the time commitment should be included there.
